"Living made easy" is a website launched by The Disabled Living Foundation which gives impartial advice and information about daily living equipment and other aspects of independent living. It has been developed by the charity which has nearly 40 years' experience in providing independent advice about products for disabled adults, children, older people, their carers and families.
This website aims to provide comprehensive and independent information about daily living equipment available to the public from national suppliers. The product information is supported by expert advice created by a team of occupational therapists. Website is: http://www.livingmadeeasy.org.uk
The Disabled Living Foundation also provides, free of charge, fact sheets to assist people. Late last year they updated their clothing fact sheets and the following new ones can be obtained from either their website at: http://www.dlf.org.uk or by phoning 0845 1309177
The clothing items covered for older and people with a disability are:
- Choosing a bra.
- Clothing for people with sensitive skin.
- Clothing for continence and incontinence.
- Clothing for people who rip clothing.
- Clothing ideas for wheelchair users.
- Dressing for warmth.
- Equipment to assist with dressing and putting on footwear.
- Finding suitable footwear.
- Specialist clothing services.
The registration of domiciliary care workers which was due to be introduced almost two years ago is still being considered for implementation. As yet there is no new date. The Dept. of Health and the General Social Care Council are still developing the model.

This week we were invited to write an article for the MS Society Newsletter in Buckinghamshire. This is not an unusual invitation as we freely write a few column inches for local community publications, church magazines, disability organisations, etc.A potential client was visited in Lincolnshire.
Manual Handling Training has taken place in the Norwich office.
Client care reviews have taken place in Essex and in South East London.
Potential carers have been interviewed in Norwich, Devon and Durham.
A new client care package has commenced in Norfolk. An elderly lady in her 80’s requiring stroke aftercare. Salary £576.00pw inc. Care Manager is Sam on 01603 281918
