Backissues...

With effect from Monday 9th December 2002 we will be moving into new premises. The new address is...

Able Community Care
The Old Parish Rooms
Whitlingham Lane
Trowse, Norwich
Norfolk NR14 8TZ
United Kingdom

The email address, telephone and the fax number will remain the same.

The reason for the move is that the lease on our existing premises expires in January. Currently, we lease a suite in a multi-company office location on the edge of Norwich and recent developments within the building have proved unsatisfactory and since May 2002 we have been searching for more appropriate accommodation.

Our new home is approximately the same size as the one we are leaving but all on the ground floor as you can see from the above photograph. The layout will give us more space for interviews, training, visitors, meetings, etc. There are also ample car parking facilities.

As the name suggests, our new home, which was built in the 19th century, has been the Parish Rooms of the village as well as a home for farm animals, a furniture store and a travel company. The actual location is only about three miles from our present premises.

Moving is quite a logistical feat. We will fill 200 large crates which will all be colour coded for easy identification. These will contain everything from a computer to a packet of paper clips.

The plan is that the move will begin at about 3.00pm on Friday 6th December and we will be up and running as usual on Monday 9th December at 9.00am. (If you can manage without making too many calls to us over this three day period it would be appreciated. However the “on call” system will function as usual for emergencies only.)

Another Change!

We regularly review and update all our literature and documentation. But with the implementation of the National Care Standards next year we would need to carry out a review of all our procedures and make amendments and updates where relevant to conform with the Regulations.

As this would mean changes in our documentation, etc. we decided to seize the opportunity to update and change our company logo. The current green and yellow flower is now 13 years old and it is time to change. So, from early New Year we will have a new logo.

Plans are well under way and we hope that you will be able to see our 'new image' for yourself in about 8 to 12 weeks.

Christmas and New Year

Even though we are moving (and all that this entails) we are well underway in providing care for all our clients over this period. However, if any Carer who previously said they were unable to work can now manage a minimum of a week, please give us a call on 01603 764567.

Brochure

Even though our image is changing we will still seek to provide the most reputable and responsible, live-in care service in the UK. We are backed by Local Authority Inspections, employment lawyers, insurance experts, excellent staff and we have an "in depth" knowledge of the now constantly changing industry we operate in. Essential to protect all of us.

If you know of anyone who would like our current brochure, please give us a call on 01603 764567.

We thank you for your association with Able Community Care over the past year (longer for most of you) and we look forward to continuing and developing our relationship with you in 2003 and beyond.
