Backissues...

Most people like living in their own homes. The comfortable surroundings of your home provide the happiest environment. This does not change as we become older or if we have a disability.

But what happens if there comes a time when you cannot remain living in your home without help? A time when you need assistance with your domestic tasks like cooking, cleaning or laundry. You might need some help with your personal care, with dressing or personal hygiene. Perhaps you would welcome some companionship? What do you do when you know that by living alone you are placing yourself in a position of risk.

Able Community Care Can Help You...

We help people to live in their own homes by providing a fully supported, 24 hour live-in carer service:

  • Someone to carry our the domestic tasks you cannot do.

  • Someone to provide you with assistance with your personal care.

  • Someone, who because they live-in, has the time to provide companionship, time to take you out, etc.

  • Someone to take away the risk of living on your own.
Able Community Care offers the alternative to moving into residential care. The provision of a fortnightly rota system of preferred carers mean we can look after you 365 days a year, for as long as you wish.

Each person we care for is an individual. Each person we care for has their own way of life, their own way of doing things and we try to tailor our service to meet each individual's requirements.

Able staff have been providing live-in care on a nationwide basis to high dependency people since 1980.

  • Each person we care for has a named Care Manager for easy communication.

  • We offer a 24 hour "on call" service.

  • We publish a bi-monthly company Gazette relevant to care at home. This keeps you up to date on current care issues that may affect you.

  • We are regulated by The Care Quality Commission and also the The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care.

  • Able Community Care is a Founder Member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association and a Member of The Law Society's Panel of Expert Witnesses.
We offer a no-cost initial assessment visit to discuss needs and to give you the opportunity to ask us about the service we provide. After a visit an Offer of Care letter is sent to you, setting out the full cost of a Carer Scheme in your home.

Before you complete our "Service User Access Form" (which we need before we arrange our visit) please first read brief details about the financial issues of a live-in care scheme...
