Multiple Sclerosis affects approximately 100,000 people in the UK (2009 survey) and the incidence of MS appears to be that it is three times more prevalent in women than in men.
MS is not an inherited disease but family members do have a slightly higher risk of developing MS. MS is not a fatal condition nor is it infectious or contagious.
Able Community Care can provide live-in care packages for people with Multiple Sclerosis living in Lincolnshire who would like to remain living in their own homes rather than moving into a residential care home setting.
