Live-in carers will carry out the general housework, the shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry etc.
They are there at any time to provide you with all aspects of the personal care help such as dressing/undressing, washing, bathing, showering, hair care, oral care, shaving, toileting and continence care.
Live in carers also offer companionship and enable you to regain aspects of social activity such as going to church, the pub, a restaurant, for a walk, to play cards with, and so on.
A live-in carer also removes being "at risk" alone in your own home.
However, Able Community Care is not a Nursing Agency. Our carers do not provide help with any task that is deemed to be a 'nursing task'.
Many people living at home require an element of nursing. It is usually possible to have a District Nurse visit to provide the nursing element, whilst the remainder of the care is provided by our live in carers.
